Bakkerij Wolf
Bakkerij Wolf is a modern artisanal bakery where everything revolves around good bread, pure ingredients and time. What began as a neighbourhood bakery in the Wolvenstraat has grown into a beloved name in Amsterdam, with several branches. Every day, sourdough breads, croissants, cinnamon buns and other viennoiserie are made by hand. The philosophy is simple: flour, water, salt and patience. In addition to the bakery you find an atmospheric café where you can have breakfast or lunch with dishes in which the own bread plays the leading role. Thanks to the open bakery, the smell of freshly baked bread and the relaxed atmosphere, Bakkerij Wolf feels like a real neighbourhood spot where craftsmanship is central.
Where does the name come from?
The name Wolf refers to the Wolvenstraat in the Nine Streets, where the first branch was opened. The bakery took over the name of the street and then grew into a recognisable Amsterdam brand.
Fun fact
Although Bakkerij Wolf is known above all for its sourdough bread, the almond croissants and cinnamon buns are by now among the most popular of Amsterdam. Many regular guests come by especially early, because these favourites are regularly sold out before noon.
