Madaq is a luxury chocolatier that has opened a stylish shop-in-shop in the iconic House of Rituals on the Spui. Here everything revolves around artisanal chocolate, refined macarons, homemade ice cream and special hot chocolate. All products are made by hand in the own studio and are inspired by pronounced flavours and high-quality ingredients. In the boutique you can not only take home bonbons and macarons, but also enjoy an ice cream or a hot chocolate during a visit to the House of Rituals or the neighbouring Rituals Café. The elegant presentation and the attention to flavour make Madaq a surprising culinary stop in the heart of Amsterdam.
Where does the name come from?
The name Madaq is derived from the Arabic word “madhaq”, which means ‘taste’. That name reflects exactly what the brand stands for: intense flavours, craftsmanship and experiencing special moments together. The core values of Madaq are Sharing Together, Intense Flavours and Consciously Made.

The branch in House of Rituals was the first shop-in-shop of Madaq and proved so successful that the brand decided to roll out this concept further to several premium Rituals shops in the Netherlands. In this way a luxury chocolate brand grew into a fixed part of the Rituals experience
